In order to cherish the memory of Bhakta Dasia and to spread the cultural heritage of Lord Jagannath a Samadhi has been installed in the birth place after the attainment of Nirvana of the great soul and temple of Lord Jagannath Goddeess Laxmi Goddess Vimala, Lord Ganesh and Lord Hanuman has been erected in the sacred place.
A socio cultural organisation Bhakta Dasia Smruti Committee has been formed in the year 1978 which is looking into the day to day affairs of the temple.Many religious minded people from neighboring villages and educated people from various places have joined hands to safeguard the famous Bhakta Dasia Pitha.
With the financial assistance of Dept of Tourism and Culture and with the effort of Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department Sri Pradip Maharathy and his wife a famous orator and devotee Prativa Maharathy, installation of life size Bronze statue of Bhakta Dasia and construction of Bhakta Dasia Atithi Bhawan have been completed making the spot attractive for the Tourists.

Bhakta Dasia Bauri was a great devotee of Lord Jagannath in the 15th century AD. He was born into a low caste of weavers’ family and lived with his wife Malati in a hut on a small piece of land.
